The Dr. Toby Malichi Institute for Global Impact is honored to announce its official selection by the U.S. Department of State as the Indianapolis Host Organization for the 2026 Mandela Washington Fellows Professional Development Experience (PDE). This designation follows a rigorous national vetting and due-diligence process and affirms the Institute’s standing as a premier leader in global economic diplomacy, trade education, social enterprise, global leadership development, and international engagement.
The Mandela Washington Fellowship, the flagship program of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI), brings exceptional young leaders from across the African Continent to the United States for executive leadership training, professional development experience, and strategic collaboration. As the selected Host Organization, the Dr. Toby Malichi Institute for Global Impact will inaugurate its first Cohort, marking a historic milestone in the Institute’s mission to advance global social impact, strengthen international partnerships, and empower emerging leaders shaping Africa’s future.
